Help us contribute to the important goal of strengthening the fighters of Unit 669 in the Israel Defense Forces. Unit 669 is the Combat Search and Rescue Unit of the Israeli Air Force and is one of the premier Special Operations Units of the IDF.

The American Friends of Unit 669 (AFU 669) is a non-profit organization established to support the alumni and welfare of the soldiers of the IDF elite Unit 669.

The Unit’s mission is to rescue casualties - both soldiers and civilians - anywhere and under any conditions, be it enemy territory under hostile fire or civilians caught in emergency situations.



The Association’s goal is to support the unit’s soldiers and alumni - many of whom will be the future leaders of Israeli society.

We encourage the alumni of Unit 669 to maximize their individual potential - to benefit themselves, the Unit, and all of Israel.

We are doing our best to keep up the good work of “Tikkun Olam”.
