LEADERSHIP

PETER FEINBERG

VICE CHAIRMAN

Peter Feinberg began his 33-year career in the Financial Services industry in 1982, initially working for Oppenheimer & Co. Inc. as a clerk on the floor of the American Stock Exchange. After joining the “upstairs” Institutional trading desk, he moved to the West Coast in 1988 where he spent several years building out the Equity business with significant clients in that region. Peter was rewarded for his contributions by being made a partner of the firm, and in 1992 transferred back to New York where he took over-all responsibility for the firm’s trading effort. Following Oppenheimer’s acquisition by CIBC World markets, a division of Canadian Imperial Bank, in 1997, Peter added additional core responsibilities to his role as Head of Trading, including Miracle Day which raised over $60M dollars for children’s charities across the world from 1997 – 2002. Peter left CIBC in 2002 to become senior partner with Israel Englander and Co, a dominant Options brokerage firm, with a mandate to develop an Equity focused product for that firm. During that time CIBC divested itself of the Oppenheimer Capital Markets businesses and in 2003 Peter had the great opportunity to rejoin a newly independent Oppenheimer as a senior member of the Institutional Equities Sales and Trading division.

In 2015, after an exciting 33-year career, Peter decided to pursue an entrepreneurial path, he founded 2 companies. BridgeBio, which invests in preclinical, non-public, rare genetic disease assets. North Coast Partners, a real estate holding company, that invests in Detroit, multifamily housing, in up and coming neighborhoods. He is also an advisory board member of Ignite Power an African solar energy company, currently the largest in Rwanda, which has created a life changing experience for its citizens.
